Day 01: Arrival Cape Town
Meet & assist by the representative at the airport upon arrival. Then transfer to the Hotel. Check in to the hotel. A day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel in Cape Town.
Day 02: In Cape Town
After breakfast visit to the famous landmarks such as the Castle of Good Hope built in 1666, City Hall, and the Grand Parade. Driving through famous Adderley Street, we will see St. George’s Cathedral: The Anglican Diocese of Nobel Peace Laureate Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Pass the Company Gardens and the Malay Quarter which is situated on the slopes of Table Mountain where slaves were settled. Our route leads to Kloof Nek and the magnificent Table Mountain. We'll ascend to the top weather permitting by the revolving cable car for phenomenal views, including Robben Island. Descend from the Upper Cableway station to the vehicle and proceed around Table Bay towards Milnerton (time permitting). From here you can see Table Mountain from the same perspective as early settlers did when they sailed into Table Bay. Overnight at the hotel in Cape Town.
Day 03: Full Day Cape Peninsula Tour
Breakfast at the hotel. Start your tour by heading towards Cape Point: the scenic drive will take you to the southwestern tip of the Cape Peninsula. Meander along the Atlantic coast, passing Sea Point, Camps Bay and the Twelve Apostles mountain outcrops. Once at Hout Bay you can take an optional boat trip to Duiker Island (for own account & time permitting) to see the Cape Fur Seals. Next, we travel to the Cape Point Nature Reserve with its abundant fauna and flora. We continue along False Bay with a stop at historic Simons Town to visit the Penguin colony at Boulders Beach (for own account) passing the village Fish Hoek and seaside Muizenberg. Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens is next before returning to Cape Town. Overnight at the hotel in Cape Town.
Day 04: Cape Town - Knysna
After breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to Knysna. Arrival & check in to the Hotel. Visit the John Benn Cruise, the John Benn is a beautiful double-decker floating restaurant that offers daily lagoon cruises to the Knysna Heads. This verdant part of South Africa is strikingly stunning and what better way to experience it then on serene lagoon waters? There are two full bars on board and an optional a la carte and tapas menu that includes the fresh and famous Knysna oysters. This fully enclosed luxury ferry has been constructed from Yellowwood that was sourced from the Knysna Forest. The John Benn Ferry is about joviality, good food and wine and scenery that leaves you in awe. Overnight at the hotel in Knysna.
Day 05: Knysna – Oudtshoorn - Knysna
Breakfast at the hotel. Oudtshoorn’s famous Cango Caves can be explored on a guided tour (all guides are accredited) lasting for an hour and leaving every hour on the hour from 9:00 to 16:00 each day. This is one of Africa’s most spectacular natural formations with vast caverns, beautiful, delicate and sometimes majestic stalagmites and stalactites and dripstone caverns. The scenic tour, while not for the fainthearted, is a relatively gentle stroll through the caves while marveling at their uniquely dramatic rock formations.
The entrance fee for the Cango Wildlife Ranch is R160 but does not include the animal encounters that are at an additional charge. The standard ticket includes a 60 min Valley of the Ancients Guided Tour. On this tour, you will see an ancient temple that is inhabited by giant flying foxes, exotic birds and other fascinating species. This themed walk through experience is sure to enthrall and educate on modern conservation issues. After that visit to the Safari Ostrich Farm, it is a working ostrich farm in the popular town of Oudsthoorn on the celebrated Garden Route. It was established in 1956 and has been delighting visitors ever since. It is often referred to as a must see. On a guided tour, you will learn and see all the aspects of ostrich farming as well as the ostriches themselves. Everything from the miracle of hatching to the incubator room is shown and experienced. The Safari Ostrich Farm is also home to the beautiful and rare White Ostrich. There are two restaurants that serve delicious home-made ostrich dishes if you want to try an ostrich fillet and shopping is a treat, with a wide range of well-crafted ostrich leather products or intricate ornamental ostrich eggs. Day 06: Knysna – Kwantu Game Reserve
After breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to Kwantu Game Reserve. Check in to the Hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 07: Kwantu Game Reserve
After breakfast full day tour in Kwantu Game Reserve. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 08: Kwantu - Durban
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer from Kwantu Game Reserve to Port Elizabeth Airport for your flight to King Shaka Airport in Durban.
Upon arrival in Durban, you will be met by your English speaking driver and transferred to hotel Dinner at a local Indian restaurant. Overnight at the hotel in Durban.
Day 09: In Durban
Breakfast at the hotel. Travel along the Golden Mile: The revitalized beachfront promenade of Durban. City sights include a small craft harbor, the sugar terminals, harbor warehouses and the University of Natal. Visit the bustling African/Indian Markets at Warwick Triangle where approximately 6000 street vendors ply their trade, to an average of 460 000 daily commuters – an authentic experience. From culture to nature, we visit the peaceful Durban Botanic Gardens founded in 1849, a treasure trove of massive trees from Asia, Africa and America, and a magnificent orchid house. We then conclude with a visit to an icon of KwaZulu Natal, the Moses Mabhida Stadium where you will have the option of experiencing the cable car ride (for own account) to the top of the Stadium for that phenomenal view of Durban and its surroundings. Overnight at the hotel in Durban.
Day 10: Durban - Suncity
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer from Garden Court South Beach to King Shaka Airport for your flight to OR Tambo International airport upon arrival you will be met by your English speaking driver and transferred to Sun City (+/- 3hr drive) Overnight at the hotel in Suncity.
Day 11: Suncity - Johannesburg
Breakfast at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Johannesburg.
Day 12: Depart Johannesburg
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to a scheduled complimentary hotel shuttle to OR Tambo International airport for your flight back home.
