Mount Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is the most sacred place, where thousands of devotees come on a pilgrimage to seek blessings from Lord Shiva and dip in the holy lake of Mansarovar. The water in the lake is crystal clear and you can see a beautiful reflection of yourself in it. The lake got its name from the Sanskrit words ‘Manas’ and ‘Sarovar’ meaning ‘mind’ and ‘lake’. The lake is believed to be the creation of Lord Brahma’s imagination right before he started to create the universe. The Mount Kailash is of religious importance to Jains, Buddhists and Hindus.
The Kailash Mansarovar Holiday Packages starting point in Kathmandu, from where one can take a jeep to reach the Tibetan Plateau. The pilgrimage is made by hundreds of faithful pilgrims, who make this exotic journey every year. It is believed to be the Earthly manifestation of the heaven above by the Hindus. The Puranas says that the four facades of the mountains are made of crystal, ruby and gold. It is considered to be the centre of the world mandala, as it is situated at the heart of six mountains symbolizing lotus. Jains believe that this is the site where Rishabdeva attained salvation and Buddhists consider it to be the home of Buddha.
